Typewiser covers the major public funding schemes researchers apply to, and the library keeps growing: new packages, general and call-specific, arrive as programmes evolve.

Horizon Europe

Flag of the European Union

Horizon Europe funds research and innovation across every stage, from a single investigator’s frontier idea to a company’s route to market. Typewiser is building a package for each, starting with the pillars and instruments below and adding more as the library grows.

Pillar I

Excellent Science

Frontier research at every career stage, from a postdoc's first fellowship to a team of established investigators. Pillar I is judged on excellence and nothing else, and every Typewiser package for it is built to make that single case as clearly as possible.

Upcoming packages

  • MSCA Doctoral NetworkOct 2026
  • ERC Proof of ConceptNov 2026
  • MSCA Postdoctoral FellowshipsJan 2027

Frontier research of your own design in any field, up to EUR 2 million over five years, with up to EUR 1 million more available for start-up costs, major equipment or fieldwork. Excellence is the sole award criterion, applied to the principal investigator and the project together.

Applicant
One principal investigator whose PhD was defended between five and fifteen years before 1 January 2027, hosted by a legal entity in a Member State or Associated Country.
Deadline
12 January 2027

Covered by Typewiser

Part B1, the extended synopsis and track record, and Part B2, the full proposal, in the ERC's own section order with the evaluation guidance attached.

Pillar II

Global Challenges and Industrial Competitiveness

Collaborative projects across all six thematic clusters, open to consortia from research partnerships to industry-led ones. Pillar II is judged on excellence, impact and implementation, and every Typewiser package for it is built to make that case.

Upcoming packages

  • Cluster 3, Civil Security for SocietyOct 2026
  • Cluster 4, Digital, Industry and SpaceNov 2026
  • Cluster 5, Climate, Energy and MobilityJan 2027

Collaborative projects that create new knowledge or test whether a technology is feasible, generally at lower technology readiness and funded at 100 per cent of eligible costs. Proposals are scored out of five on excellence, impact, and quality and efficiency of the implementation.

Applicant
At least three independent legal entities, each established in a different Member State or Associated Country, with at least one established in a Member State.
Deadline
Varies by call

Covered by Typewiser

Part B, sections 1 to 3, inside the 40-page limit, 45 pages on lump sum topics, with objectives, methodology, work packages and impact laid out in scoring order.

Horizon IA

Innovation Action

Work close to market: prototypes, pilot lines, demonstrators, testing and first-of-a-kind deployment, funded at 70 per cent for profit-making entities.

Applicant
At least three independent legal entities, each established in a different Member State or Associated Country, with at least one established in a Member State. Industry partners usually lead.
Deadline
Varies by call

Covered by Typewiser

Part B, sections 1 to 3, inside the same 40-page limit, with the demonstration plan and exploitation route given the weight the ranking gives them.

Accompanying measures focused on standardisation, networking, policy support, mutual learning, studies and awareness building.

Applicant
Varies by topic. Many Coordination and Support Action topics accept a single legal entity established in a Member State or Associated Country.
Deadline
Varies by call

Covered by Typewiser

Part B, sections 1 to 3, inside the 25-page limit, 28 pages on lump sum topics, with stakeholder mapping and impact pathways structured for a coordination action.

Pillar III

Innovative Europe

The European Innovation Council, from early-stage technology to market deployment, for single companies and for consortia at any point in between. Typewiser carries you through that journey, structuring each package to what the EIC expects at that stage.

Upcoming packages

  • EIC Pathfinder Open 2027Jan 2027

Advanced materials that shrink energy harvesting enough to power autonomous sensors, from new harvesting phenomena and reduced reliance on critical raw materials through to modules benchmarked at TRL 4 in a representative use case. Projects must address all four challenge objectives and join the challenge portfolio, with lump sum grants up to EUR 4 million.

Applicant
A single legal entity or a consortium established in a Member State or Associated Country. A two-entity consortium must draw its members from two different countries.
Deadline
28 October 2026

Covered by Typewiser

The 30-page proposal, with the long-term vision and breakthrough sections in place and the Challenge Guide's objectives attached where the committee looks for them.

Biotechnology and pharmaceutical interventions that prevent, delay or reverse age-related decline, with proof of concept in physiologically aged models, together with the biomarkers and new approach methodologies needed to deploy them responsibly. Projects join the challenge portfolio, with lump sum grants up to EUR 4 million.

Applicant
A single entity or a small consortium, building on eligible results from EIC Pathfinder, ERC Proof of Concept, Horizon Europe Pillar II collaborative projects or Research Infrastructures projects.
Deadline
September 2027 (expected)

Covered by Typewiser

The full proposal, with the source result, the maturation plan and the business case held in one document.

Step 1 of the Accelerator: a short form, a pitch deck and a video pitch, screened by four remote evaluators. A go decision is what unlocks the full application, and there is no limit on resubmission at this stage.

Covered by Typewiser

The short application form and the narrative behind the pitch deck and the video.

Step 2 of the Accelerator: the full business plan for a deep tech innovation at TRL 6 or above, covering technology, market, business model, team, financing and risk. Grant up to EUR 2.5 million, with EIC Fund equity available alongside it, followed by a jury interview at Step 3.

Funders revise their documents and their guidance while a call is open. We do our best to keep the documentation updated. Always verify the official call documents before you submit.

Don't see your call?

National and regional funders, foundation calls and internal schemes can be built on request. A requested package is verified against the live call documentation and matched to the way your institution writes.

Tell us the call and the deadline. We will tell you if it is possible before you commit.

Questions about coverage

Something else blocking a decision?

info@typewiser.com

What if I cannot find the call I am looking for?

The library grows continuously, and new packages are added as calls open. If the call you need is not there yet, tell us and we will look at it: info@typewiser.com

What happens when a call changes?

Funders revise their documents and their guidance while a call is open. Packages are versioned, and each one states what it includes and when it was last reviewed. Always check the official call documents before you submit.

Can I use my own template, or only the ones you provide?

You work from Typewiser’s own templates, and building a custom one yourself is not currently possible. If your organisation needs a template built to a specific structure, contact us: info@typewiser.com

Can I reuse my project knowledge across several calls?

Yes. Download the documents from your Knowledge Library and upload them to a new project, so the material you have already gathered carries forward to the next call.
